That means your server does not have the listed requirements.

You need to get hosting with the requirements.

Same thing happens here, i am using Hostgator shared hosting. I also have VPS from hostgator.

So the QUESTION is: Why it happens - what must be installed/enabled on the hosting? Please answer asap! :)

That problem is because your server does not have the requirements set.

HostGator does not set the requirements, even when you ask them to, they say it is all set when it is not, does not appear they even go through each one and set it, that is why we do not recommend them to anyone.

@ Admin

So what is necessary to get it working??? I think you should know it as support of this script?

What requipments from these:
Server Requirements:
Apache web server with mod_rewrite enabled.
MySQL version 4.0+
GD Library 2+ with freetype support.
PHP 5.2+ with the following configuration
safe_mode = off
open_basedir = (no value)
output_buffering = on
register_argc_argv = On
max_execution_time = 300 (Recommended or higher)
session.gc_maxlifetime = 15000 (Recommended or higher)
upload_max_filesize = 10M (Recommended or higher)
post_max_size = 10M (Recommended or higher)
register_globals = off
PECL json >= 1.2.0
curl support enabled

???

The needed server requirement are posted in the site.

The issue here is the bug and not the server requirements.

The needed server requirement are posted in the site.

The issue here is the bug and not the server requirements.

I found the problem, my VPS didn't had correct php.ini with this data:

safe_mode = off
open_basedir = (no value)
output_buffering = on
register_argc_argv = On
max_execution_time = 300 (Recommended or higher)
session.gc_maxlifetime = 15000 (Recommended or higher)
upload_max_filesize = 10M (Recommended or higher)
post_max_size = 10M (Recommended or higher)
register_globals = off

Also these php extensions were not installed on my VPS, hostgator support is stupid and closed the chat when i asked help to setup these extensions. Guys, who have right php.ini file and 2 extensions installed, please tell how and where to install extensions and share php.ini data here.

Thank You in advance.

Also i hope it will be the admin who will share this because he is supporting this script , not users. And also it will prove to us, how well these guys are supporting their products. ;)
PECL json >= 1.2.0
curl support enabled

NO, I think only the author must see the "fix this post" because he is the author and he knows that the post is wrong. rather than that it should be reported and will not be fixed by other member.

I also have the same issue with showing "Fix this post" to all members, even guests.

Admin

Fix this post is supposed to show up for all members.

If guests can use fix this posts then one or more of your server requirements are not set correctly, you can create a helpdesk ticket for support to help you check which one.

You are supposed to be able to fix any post, that is how it works.

The user's problem on this thread is DELETING other user's posts, that is due to his server not having the requirements, there is no such problem on the demo website.

If they can't set the requirements for you then you need to switch to a host with the requirements.

Hello,

can you kindly tell me what should I tell them to set the requirements? everything in the requirements page ?

like

Server Requirements:
Apache web server with mod_rewrite enabled.
MySQL version 4.0+
GD Library 2+ with freetype support.
PHP 5.2+ with the following configuration
safe_mode = off
open_basedir = (no value)
output_buffering = on
register_argc_argv = On
max_execution_time = 300 (Recommended or higher)
session.gc_maxlifetime = 15000 (Recommended or higher)
upload_max_filesize = 10M (Recommended or higher)
post_max_size = 10M (Recommended or higher)
register_globals = off
PECL json >= 1.2.0
curl support enabled
Imagemagick
Facebook Application
Ability to run PHP from the command line (CLI) with exec()
Ability to execute background processes with exec("binary > /dev/null &")

just give this list to them will be fine?

If the problem still can't be solved by hostgator, what you are saying is to simply change the host to arvixe, and everything will be fixed, correct? Can I use their personalClass? or do I need to use.. say like their VPSCLASS?

One last question, besides arvixe, is there any other host you recommended?

Thanks a lot, and please help me!
